Trusted by CTOs across the Netherlands and the EU
Three ways to work with us. One team behind all of them.
We Are Blue Code (Blue Code Solutions B.V., KvK 82955131) supplies those developers as a nearshore team, freelance experts, or direct hires. Spain shares the Central European workday. The contract is with the Dutch company.
01
Nearshore Team
We employ the developers in Spain. You contract with Blue Code Solutions B.V. and pay one fixed monthly rate. A dedicated senior team in Alicante works as part of your organisation. No Spanish entity needed.
02
Freelance Experts
We employ the developer in Spain. One senior works alongside your team, live within 72 hours, for a spike, a missing skill, or a short project. One EUR invoice, from €360/day, cancel monthly.
03
IT Recruitment
We source and screen across the EU. You hire the person directly onto your own payroll and pay only on success, 14–18% of first-year salary, with a replacement guarantee.
04
Custom builds
A project that needs building end to end? Our in-house team can take it on.
From classic backend to AI and security.
Senior people who have shipped in production, not CV keyword matches. Established stacks we have already placed: PHP, Java, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Go, Ruby on Rails, and Python. We are also placing Python developers, offensive security, data and cloud, and DevOps.
From first call to a team that ships.
Intake
A 30-minute call. We define the role, the stack and the right model: nearshore team, freelance expert, or direct hire.
Shortlist in 72h
Two to four screened seniors, with context and notes. You interview and decide.
Start and support
We handle contracts and onboarding, then stay involved with monthly reporting and a replacement guarantee.
Archipel could not staff fast enough in the Netherlands. Blue Code stood up three senior teams in Alicante, in .NET, Ruby on Rails, and PHP, fully managed and part of their Dutch product team from week one. 92% of those people were still there at 18 months.
"We couldn't find the developers we needed in the Netherlands. Blue Code built three full teams in Alicante, faster than we thought possible."
The questions CTOs actually ask us.
Who employs the developer?
For nearshore teams and freelance experts, we employ them in Spain and you pay one fixed monthly or daily rate. For recruitment, you hire directly onto your own payroll.
What about Spanish payroll and labour law?
Fully handled. Spanish contracts, social charges, payroll and compliance are ours. You get one invoice in euros — zero Spanish admin on your side.
Who owns the code and IP?
You do — from day one. All code, designs and output are 100% your organisation's IP, locked into our agreement and every individual developer contract.
How do you handle time zones?
Spain runs on the same clock as NL, BE and DE. Full working-day overlap — a 2-hour flight, not an 8-hour wait.
What if a developer underperforms?
Nearshore and freelance engagements stop with one month's notice, and every recruitment hire comes with a replacement guarantee.
How good is their English?
We screen for fluent B2–C2 working English. Standups, reviews and docs all run in English.
Can I later hire a nearshore dev directly?
Yes. After an agreed period you can move anyone onto your own payroll. If a team member becomes essential, we won't stand in the way.
How is candidate data handled under GDPR?
It never leaves the EU. We sign DPAs with every client and apply a clear retention policy — GDPR-compliant by design.
What is the minimum commitment?
Nearshore teams run month to month. Freelance experts work per project, per day or per month. Recruitment is success-based — no fixed term.
How fast can someone start?
A screened shortlist within 72 hours. Most people start within weeks of your decision, and full teams are live in 4–6 weeks.
